David Phelps (musician)
David Norris Phelps (born October 21, 1969) is an American Christian music vocalist, songwriter and vocal arranger, who is best known for singing tenor in the Gaither Vocal Band. He has also released several solo albums, including four Christmas collections. On January 13, 2008, Phelps appeared on ''Extreme Makeover Home Edition'' for the Woodhouse family. Biography David Phelps was born in Texas, to Gene and Mary Ella Phelps. Gene is a former accountant/banker who currently teaches business and finance at a college in Houston. Mary Ella is a retired English Professor. He has two older sisters, Sherri Proctor (who sang backup vocals for him on tour, before dying from cancer in September 2012) and Kari Lee (a professional trumpeter who tours with the Chicago-based Millar Brass Ensemble). David Phelps (sport Shooter)
David Phelps (born 10 April 1977) is a Welsh sport shooter, who won Gold in the 50 meter rifle prone individual competition and Bronze in the corresponding pairs event for Wales at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. He went on to win individual Gold in the event at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. History Phelps comes from Cardiff in Wales. In August 2014, he married England Commonwealth rifle shooter Sheree Cox. Career In 2000 and 2001, Phelps won back-to-back British Prone Championships at the NSRA National Meeting. Phelps was selected for his first Commonwealth Games in 2002 where he qualified for the final in the Men's 50M Prone Rifle, finishing 6th. He finished 11th in the Men's Prone Rifle Pairs with team-mate Robin Hilborne. Four years later he earned selection for the 2006 Commonwealth Games, by which time he was representing Great Britain at World Cup level. David Edward Phelps (born October 9, 1986) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees, Miami Marlins, Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers, and Philadelphia Phillies. Phelps played college baseball at the University of Notre Dame. Amateur career Phelps attended Hazelwood West High School in Hazelwood, Missouri, where he played basketball and baseball.
